Our Goal
To offer a program that enables passionate cyclists to grow and develop. We provide a pathway that can lead towards professional cycling, with an emphasis on personal improvement and shared experiences. Our program includes racing in the ProVelo Super League in Australian and a comprehensive Continental Program in Europe.
What We Do
Meridian Bikebug is our Oceania-based UCI Women’s Continental Team that competes in the third tier of international events in Oceania and Europe. It is part of our broader cycling development program registered in Australia. Our program brings together development pathways, comprising riders in the elite and U23 categories with a focus on Australian and New Zealand riders. We also work with Junior (U19) riders in collaboration with CT Jonge Renners Roeselare in Belgium to provide team racing opportunities, mentorship and athlete development.
Purpose
Since 2021 we have worked to create opportunities for women to develop their impact in the sport of cycling. We have lowered the barriers to progression and worked to develop a program that allows women who race bikes to develop at their pace. By focusing on the whole-of-person development we are not defined by our latest race results, but by the progress we have made.
What is important to the Meridian Blue Cycling program is the personal growth that comes from facing into the challenges that our sport provides us. We will benefit from working in a team of exceptional humans who choose this path.
